Simple steps for safer jobs
Follow these tips at every stage, from choosing a professional to paying for the work.
Before you hire
- Read the professional’s profile and reviews, and ask questions through Kinify Services messages.
- Ask for a clear quote that describes the work, the materials and the total price.
- For larger jobs, compare at least two or three professionals.
Agreeing on the job
- Write down what was agreed (work, price, date, deposit) and keep the messages.
- Avoid paying the full amount in advance. A deposit for materials, with the balance on completion, is safer for both sides.
- When you pay by Mobile Money or bank transfer, keep the transaction receipt.
During the work
- For work at home, if possible make sure someone you trust is present.
- Check the work before paying the balance, and raise any concern straight away.
For professionals
- Confirm the address, the job and the price before travelling.
- Give clients a written quote and a receipt when they pay.
